Hello Moms:
We had such an awesome meeting last Saturday. We had several new moms' attending their first Umbrella Ministries meeting. We were all so very glad to have you there!
BJ Jensen blessed us with the signing of the song It Is Well With My Soul. BJ taught all of us to sign the chorus with her. It was beautiful. Thank you BJ for sharing your talents with all of us. We then began our discussion on Mike McIntosh's book When Your World Falls Apart. How, if we are willing, God can use our experiences and help shepherd us to a higher level. We then broke out into groups according to how our child died. We were able to discuss each of our individual experiences, the chapters in Mike's book - "Make or Break?" "Bitter or Better," "Frustration or Forgiveness." We ended our group session by praying for each other. We then had a delicious dinner provided by Linda Stirling. Thank you so much Linda for your graciousness and hospitality.
Our next meeting will be a Pizza Night on Wednesday April 13th. We will continue to learn about God's shepherding us to a higher level through "When Your World Falls Apart" as well as start assembling the 12 stones/Joshua story for the Welcome Baskets for the Umbrella Ministries Conference being held in May. Please mark your calendars.
Please let me know if you will be able to make it for our Pizza Night. We are so blessed by each and every one of you, and what you bring to our group. It is so very special to have a group of ladies to meet with that completely understands the journey that each of us is on in the healing from the loss of our child. There is such a sense of connection, freedom and healing in being able to share the most difficult journey with other women who truly "get it".
